Malia Xie is a fellow with the Foundation's Social Innovation group. In this role, Malia will contribute to the Foundation's mission by working with innovative grants and investments. Malia developed her interest in the use of creative solutions to make a meaningful and sustainable impact while in college, where she spent time in rural Honduras working with agricultural micro-finance. Prior to starting at the Foundation, Malia worked at PwC where she provided economic consulting to clients in the automotive, consumer products, agriculture, industrial equipment, chemical, pharmaceutical, and education industries. Outside of work Malia loves to learn about new things, whether that be traveling, cooking, going to new restaurants, or trying new activities. Malia graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
