The Main Course
A balanced diet, call it what it is.
With the base ingredient: genius and whiz.
The fine art sauce compliments the meal,
Just enough music, art and dance to seal the deal.
But wait, there’s more in store for those who bore
When facing Beethoven, baroque, or the dance floor.
Yes, those who wish to get a hit
Shoot a shot, catch with a mitt;
The athletic seasoning we must not forget
When concocting this great dish, not a bit.
A Renaissance education one will see
Is as balanced as any one will be.
And if one ventures to endure the taste,
One will find that none will waste,
The scholastic, fine arts, athletic dish
That is desired by all who wish
To lead a life in true Renaissance fashion
To pursue all things with vigor and passion.
