Calls to reimagine education ring out from Detroit and echo across our state. How can we help ensure they are heard and enacted?

Our Policy & Systems work advocates for and supports education policymaking and implementation that centers the insights of Detroiters. We will:

• Monitor when, where, and how education policy decisions are being made, seeking opportunities to insert the wisdom of people most impacted by the education system in Detroit.
• Fund education policy organizations to expand their constituency base and grow their influence. 
• Cultivate relationships with and across policy leaders, researchers, and Detroit ground builders.
• Support the implementation of policy to ensure it works for the Detroit education system and leads to positive outcomes for Detroit youth.

We are in the process of developing new, community-informed strategies, to launch in the second half of 2024.
